Cheap, large quantity sandwiches handmade with a friendly proprietor . Also had surprisingly large local beer and wine selection

A surprisingly great value for your money in a neighborhood likely filled with tourist traps. The sandwiches were quite large. I got the hot spinach with mozzarella one (can't remember the name as it's sealed like a calzone) and it was delicious and filling.

Amazing. Go daily if you can. So fresh and wonderful. Little spot that is worth the visit!

The sandwiches are huge and delicious! I've come here a few years back and was happy to see that it hadn't changed in the best way. Quality is amazing and would definitely recommend.

This place is a cute little hole in the wall. The sandwiches were fresh and very large. They could've used a little more sauce as the bread was a tad dry but nonetheless still great. We got two sandwiches, 1 beer, and 1 soda. It was $26 euros which is a little expensive compared to other places but over 4/5. Thanks!

Drooling! This place is soo good! The portions are excellent for the price and the flavor combinations are delicious. I had the Madonna. You can taste the slight truffle and the sundried tomato was prevalent. Good portion of meat. I'd point out the sandwiches are on the saltier side, but if you like salt and cured meats and great bread, I'd highly recommend!

Great location to stop in for a big sandwich. It's just a few minutes walk to the Coliseum. We stopped here for lunch after our tour. It's on a smaller street so it's an escape from the busy crowds. It's a small quaint space with takeaway sandwiches. There wasn't any seating so we took it to a nearby park to eat. The staff is friendly and offers bread tastings when you arrive. They have many different sandwich options both with and without meat. We ordered the Clementina which was my favorite and a meat sandwich with mozzarella and sundried tomatoes. The zucchini and pesto were amazing on the Clementina! Both sandwiches were pressed and warm which made them very tasty. They were fresh and filled with lots of flavor. Overall they were a great price for all that you got. We did think the meat sandwich was a bit dry without a sauce or pesto on it so I would definitely recommend the Clementina!

Delicious, abundant, and hit just the spot! My wife and I loved this place. We had read the reviews online and it sure didn't disappoint. Lots of flavor in that buffalo cheese. Highly recommend!

Seriously one of the best sandwiches I will ever have in my life!!! It is a hidden gem. The meat is cut fresh, the cheese is local and the bread is delicious. They made the sandwich fresh right in front of me and it was very quick. The man working the stand was super nice and efficient. The place is very small and def a grab and go place. The sandwich was huge and super super delicious. Strongly recommend as a quick bit when touring the city.

If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. I came across this hole in the wall sandwich shop on one of my first days in Rome, not knowing my feet would lead me back here a few more times throughout this trip. On a Sunday afternoon, after a colosseum photo shoot, I wanted a small snack to fill me up before going to a restaurant for a meal. I saw this tiny shop on the walk back to my Airbnb, with only a few customers. The space inside is very small, with only two seats outside. We had no idea what to expect. We were kindly welcomed by a lady and her partner. Per her recommendation, I decided to try the sandwich with pistachio and ham. After waiting a minute, we were given a warm, fluffy, yet crunchy panini oozing with a sour cream textured cheese. As an American, I am used to a good ratio sandwich, usually with more meat than bread. However, this sandwich came with a slice of ham. It was the most unexpected perfect ratio. I split one sandwich with my partner, and it was so filling for 8€, we decided we did not need to find another place to eat after this place. Throughout the rest of our time here, we wanted to try as many other places as we can, to beat the taste of Mizios, but it was incomparable. We came back two days later, getting another panini. We decided to try the Urbana. Again, it was one slice of meat, mortadella and it was still the PERFECT ratio. We couldn't help but to walk off some food space in our stomach by window shopping in local vintage stores nearby, and went back for seconds. This time we tried the Grillo. The salami in this was salty, balancing the cheese and focaccia, the perfect taste. We only have one more day here, and as much as I want to try other places, I know I will be back a couple more times as this place does not disappoint. This hole in the wall is a MUST TRY.
